(1) recorder. An instrument which records traces of light which have been beamed on film by [[galvanometer|galvanometers]] responsive to logging tool measurements. Some cameras may use laser technology or fiber optics.

(2) borehole camera. A downhole instrument which photographs the interior of the borehole or casing.
