An anomalous effect on [[guard log]] and early [[laterolog]] curves first observed in the Delaware Basin. It can be recognized as an erroneous high-[[resistivity]] [[gradient]] in conductive [[bed|beds]] when these beds are overlaid by thick high resitivity [[formation|formations]].
