The API log grid is the standard format used by all logging companies for recording well-logging measurements in the petroleum industry. This log grid has one track on the left side of the depth column and two on the right. The tracks are 2.5 inches wide and the depth column is 0.75 inches wide. The tracks may be divided into linear scale or logarithmic scale. See scale for illustration.
