The ratio of attenuation in zone of interest (db/ft) to attenuation in well-cemented section (db/ft). The computed bond index value is an indicator of the quality of cement bond. Both the value of the bond index and the length of cemented interval exhibiting the calculated index value must be considered in estimating the quality of isolation to be expected.
