A sensitive ammeter which has a miniature mirror fastened to the moving coil. Through a system of precision-placed mirrors, light from a source is directed onto the galvanometer mirror from which it is reflected onto a moving photoraphic film where it traces a curve. Galvanometers often are part of the recorder or camera.
