SPWLA Glossary

A term usually used in reference to microlog curves to describe the condition where the micronormal (deeper) resistivity curve reads a higher value than the microinverse (shallower) curve. This condition usually denotes the presence of mud cake on the face of the drilled formation. Compare negative separation.
