The rotating steel platform on the derrick floor with an opening in the center through which the drill pipe and casing must pass. The table is rotated by power transmitted from the drilling engines. In drilling, the kelly bushing fits into the master bushing of the table. As the table rotates, the kelly is turned, rotating the drill column and the drill bit.
