A wall contact pad. A measuring device mounted on the end of an arm which proiects from the sonde body during the survey. Usually contains electrical measuring or detection equipment. Eliminates much of the effects of the borehole by placing measuring equipment in direct contact with the drilled face of the formation. Compare skid.
