terms:single_point_resistance_log
A resistance log (units = ohms) made from a monoelectrode or a single downhole electrode. One electrode serves as both the A and M electrodes. Since the electrode is short, thin beds and laminations can be sharply delineated; but investigation depth is very shallow. Usual application is in minerals exploration.
