A pressure-control fitting which attaches to the top of riser equipment. Contains rubber glands which can be closed down around survey cable to form a fit capable of withstanding low pressures at the wellhead. Cable can be moved when glands are closed down on the cable. When glands cut out under pressure, the blowout preventer can be closed on the line and the glands replaced. Compare hydraulic packing head.
